My students really enjoyed this book. Nee Naw being the underdog with a dented bottom made them want Nee Naw to succeed. Good for a fire fighters unit or community helpers. There's a song too. They enjoy the song (the music video is kind of bad but I can't find a version without the author singing in it)

Our students are already interested in adding so the book went along well with the interest. The back offers matching books from different authors and activities that match the skills presented. The last page is a little weirdly drawn but overall its decent.

This needs to be read slowly/ carefully to keep all students in a big group on the same page/ following. The matching logic can be a little difficult for EFL learners, but the concept is nice and it fit into our community helpers week well.

I think this book could have done a little bit more to discuss light, heavy, and the degree (heavy, heavier, heaviest). Its not bad, I just wish there were more examples in the book with vocabulary attached to them.
신고
It was simple in both a good and a bad way. It was predictable which is nice for lower level students but higher level students found it a little boring. Without playing musical chairs or knowing the game well, the theme wont connect as well as it would for native speakers
신고
Because of the names and ages, this book can be hard for larger/ younger classes to follow. I should have read through once, then written the names on the number blocks I was using. Students naturally understood the sequencing, but maybe the book did help connect the concept more.

This was a fun way to introduce/ practice counting up (adding on). Students enjoyed guessing what Jack was building next and the story kept them intrigued. The counted together with the book.

counting by 5's and 10's is difficult but this book is a nice resource to use when introducing the topic. It wont teach children how to do it, but it will help teacher explain the concept and introduce ways to practice together.

It's a great resource for teaching patterns. The context of the story helps connect the theme/ skill. The book also offers ideas for lessons/ activities to do with children after reading.

We used it when talking about life cycles with students. It helped them to see many different people and how different ages look different. The text from the subject is a little bland but its a book that was bought for the pictures anyways.

It's a nice trio. They all go together well. Language does need to be a little more advanced because there is a lot of play on words in 2 of these books. Context is key with body and everybody.

The rainbow hiding in the flowers was a favorite point for my students. They also enjoyed the rainbow on the wall from the fishbowl. Its classic, you can feel the age of the book.

We used this when teaching about the rain cycle. Our students really like No, David. It's the same author and so they were drawn to the style without knowing it. The story gets more frantic and finally dissipates like a big fresh breath.

The language can be tricky. If students are too young, they wont find it funny because the jump from page to page and the plot moves very quickly.

A nice way to teach less, more, and the same concepts in English. The story helps put it into context for students.

Students enjoy it. They identify with the sneaky hiding baby. Its a great way to teach prepositions (supplemental).

The timeline/ plot can be a little difficult to follow. If you have whimsy and you understand fanciful writing that's odd for the sake of being odd and fairy-like, then you will enjoy it. Students will like it if you role play the book with them.

The song that comes with it is nice. Its not the best song, but its a nice resource. The book kept my students entertained, but they weren't as into it as some other frog or movement books that we've read.

Kids are human. Humans have bad days. The scale is so funny. Somethings are really difficult, some things are really difficult only to a 6 year old. Either way, the color is beautiful and the story is charming!

The pictures are great. The ideas are interesting and fun. If its for young readers or non fluent readers, this book will be challenging. The vocabulary is advanced and its written to rhyme using the vocabulary.
