I read a lot of reading books when learning English. But the reading book I chose to read was series that had a memorable character and a engaging story line. Even though this is a simple and easy book, the illustrations was a joy to look and the storyline was quite good.
Sam Usher Books are always a delight to read. The title itself emphasizes what weather or subject the story is going to be related to. The illustrations are beautiful, and it has a similar style with the author John Burningham.
I love Sam Usher's books, as the main characters are a little boy and his grandpa, and always ends with a cosy tea time, reminiscing the day that they had. I loved the way the author weaved the story with the weather too.
A bunch of children go on a beach trip. As soon as they see the sea, they get very excited and run to the beach. Meanwhile the baby is alone, by the seashore on its own, in a pram. And I guess you will know what happened, Baby on Board! A fun and cute read.
The cover of the book caught my eye. An elephant that is battering a bus? And then I saw the title, It was an elephant who was trying to go in the bus! Then I saw the illustrator was from the same person who had illustrated the beloved Mr Gum, I had to read it! It was fun and well written.
The illustrations of the Mr Postmouse book was so cute. I just loved it. The colors were pastel tone, and the little details were fantastic. The book is about a mouse who is a postman and he is delivering letters to a lot of different animals. I enjoyed the book.
I love Caldecott Medal winner picture books. The Medal winner books have all unique pictures and illustrations that is pleasing to look. This book tells us about the beauty of the night sky. The color is amazing and it made me look at the night sky in a different perspective.
Marvin eats a lot. He eats and eats and eats. But how much he does eats, he cannot be satisfied. In the end he eats too much and gets a tummy ache(serves him right!?). When he is no longer able to eat more, he pukes out all the things he had eaten. The end was quite fun honestly... and satisfying in some kind of way...
Jon Agee Books have the charm in the illustration itself. The illustrations are like comics, but more simple and clean-like. I loved the style of the illustrations and it led me to read more of Jon Agee's books. The stories are all quite fun.
I read this series when I was about 3 to 5 years old, and I really enjoyed reading it. There are a lot of daily episodes inside the books and I could relate to the stories, and that was fun enough. I will recommend this series to children who are young and new to English.

This book is about a girl. She loves gorillas but whenever she wants to do something with her dad, he always says that he is busy doing work. But when she gets a toy gorilla for her birthday, something happens. The toy comes to life! I felt that, although the pictures were funny, the story is a bit sad, as the girl's father won't do anything with her. I also felt that the girl was doing what she wanted to do with her father with the gorilla.
When Raina find herself and her Mum puke in the night, she thinks it's probably just a stomach bug. But, as she goes through the usual highs and lows of school, the tummy ache doesn't go away! Another funny, moving, and true from Raina Telgemeier.
This compiles all of Raina's trouble with teeth and braces. As a small child, Raina knocked two front teeth and had to re-insert them. But even that didn't work! A moving and funny story. Lots of Raina's signature style of writing.
"The Worry Website" compiles all the usual troubles such as family trouble, uselessness and girlfriends with a charming story for all of them, some sad, some happy, some in-between. All are fun to read.
This funny and absurd book tells us of the wonderous species- Teachers! With a map of their natural habitat(a school), different types of teachers and how to find the exotic ones, this book is filled with facts about the mysterious teachers.
A book from the series, Large Family, this is a book whose family is made out of elephants. The mother of this family wants some alone-time. At least Five minutes. This hilarious story represents the troubles of being a parent.
The most famous work of Jill Murphy is probably the series . In the Large family the family is consisted of three children and a mum and dad. The Mum wants just five minute peace, but could she have it? With three children in hand you can easily guess.
Life has its ups and downs as Ms Cliff would tell you. She always climbs up and down through the street doing shopping on the move. As she falls in love 2 times and has arguments that leads to her 2 divorces, you can say her life is full of ups and downs like you or me.
