아이가 영어책을 무척 좋아하고, 좋아하는 원서들은 거의 외우다시피 할 정도로 읽고 또 읽곤 하는데요...
중학교에 올라간 후로는 과다한 수행평가와 시험들 때문에 학기 중에 거의 영어 원서를 읽지 못했고, 어쩌다가 시간이 날 때에도 새 책을 읽으며 머리를 쓰고 싶지 않다며읽었던 책들만 읽고 또 읽곤 했는데, 방학이 되니, 시간도 남고, 새로운 책을 보고 싶다고 해서 구매했습니다...
역시나 생각했던 대로, 너무나 재미있다고 하며 정신없이 읽었어요...
해리포터, 퍼시잭슨,The girl who drank the moon같이 fantasy를 좋아하는 아이들이라면 좋아할 책이라고 생각해요..Nevermoor1권의 앞부분엔 법률용어가 많이 나와서 아이들이 자칫 어렵다고 생각하고 그만 읽을 수 있어요...
하지만 그 부분만 지나가면 쉬워집니다..
앞부분 어려워도 포기하지 말고 끝까지 읽으시길 추천드립니다.
Wundersmith는 Nevermoor의 2권인데요. 2권이 1권보다 더 재미있다고 하네요.
1권만 보지 말고 2권도 읽으시길 강추드립니다

The Wondrous Society, in Nevermoor. She has to pass the exam. However, it isn't as easy as it sounds. Morrigan must compete in four life-risking trials against hundreds of other children. Failure? She would have to meet her fate. This book was quite amazing and fun with everything connected somehow and is very detailed. In every little while, the author made clear how the City of Nevermoor was where anything could happen. I will look forward to reading the sequel, Wundersmith.
