Mr Gum and the Cherry Tree is a really funny story. Follow along with memorable characters like Polly, a kind and smart 9 year old girl, and Mr Gum. The author, Andy Stanton, reminds me of a mix of Dr Seuss, for using interesting and unique words and expression, and Roald Dahl's dark sense of humor. If you enjoy these authors, you are sure to enjoy this story.

미스터 검 시리즈는 아이나 저나 정말 재미있게 읽었던 시리즈입니다. 여기 나오는 미스터 검은 악당으로 등장하는데, 악당이 있으면 반대로 히어로가 있기 마련이지요. 히어로는 한 어린 소녀 폴리, 그리고 그녀를 옆에서 보조해주는 프라이데이가 있지요. 유머를 담당해주는 진저 브래드 한 명 등장하구요. 작가님 자체가 글을 워낙 쉽게 읽히게 잘 쓰시는 스타일인지라 빵빵 터지면서 가볍게 읽어내리기 좋은 시리즈입니다.
