At each step along the way, Rabbit announces, “Ready!,” but Dad does a reality check and Rabbit goes back to regroup. Henrichs’ signature scribbly art, executed with “wooden stick” and other tools, is perfect for this story of the long messy journey of getting little kids ready for an outing.

준비되었어요~ 이 말은 아이를 키우면서 몇 번이고 듣게되는 말이지요. 하지만 그 말이 정말 준비되었다는 상황과 딱 맞아떨어지는 경우는 극히 드물지요. 해당 책에 등장하는 토끼 역시 자신은 준비되었다고 하지만 역시나 정말 준비되어있지 않은 상태입니다. 보면서 어른인 저도 공감되는 면이 많고, 아이는 토끼의 입장이 되어 미소를 감추지 못하더라구요. 그림도 예쁘다는 생각을 많이 했어요.
