Paul Bunyan은 미국 캐나다에 구전동화로 사랑받아 온 이야기라고 하는데요. 태어날 때부터 사이즈가 남달랐던 Paul Bunyan이 Babe라고 이름지은 파랑색 소와 함께 서쪽으로 이동하면서 lumberjack으로 새로운 땅을 개척해 나가는 이야기를 담고 있습니다. Tall tale답게 미국의 대표적 지형들 the Great Lakes, the Grand Canyon등이 Paul Bunyan때문에 생겨났다는 믿거나말거나 스토리가 Steven Kelligg작가의 유쾌한 그림과 잘 어우러져서 재미있네요.

I bought this to introduce my kids to one of the most famous American tall tales. It's a fun story with great illustrations, however, I realized that a story about a hero who chops down trees reads a little bit awkward in 2023 when people are so environmentally conscious.
